Landseer Asset Management was founded in May 2020 by Andy Billett (ex. Arrowgrass), Roger Guy (ex Gartmore) and Paul Graham to manage a low net European long/short strategy which builds upon the shared experience of the team having run similar strategies collectively since 2009. The portfolio is typically constructed from a longer term book of core positions, augmented by a shorter term tactical book. At the time of writing the portfolio had 70 names, 45 core and 25 tactical. The objective of the strategy is to provide investors with a non-correlated source of returns, avoid large drawdowns and compound growth. Overall the strategy is designed to be style agnostic, with a moderate level of overall net exposure. At the time of writing particular areas of interest were selective exposure in miners, banks, and airlines.
